Choisy-le -Roi Ironstone Transferware Plate. An old French porcelain scene plate by Choisy. We estimate this plate from the 1840s and it is labeled as L'Ecolier Le Pedant ET LE Maintre D'un Jardin (The Schoolboy, The Pedant And The Master Of A Garden.) Due to its age there are some minor chips and manufacturing marks and may have a small crack. This is a nice addition to a collection of early French porcelain. Plate measures 8 1/4" in diameter.
