Illinois Sesquicentennial Collectible Plate or Souvenir Plate. This sesquicentennial plate was manufactured by Pickard China Company for the Marshall Field & Company, with the authorization of the Illinois sesquicentennial commission. It has the state capital in blue in the center with different landmarks on the perimeter and gold rim. The landmarks are; Center: Illinois State Capital, Border from top clockwise: Old State Capital, Springfield; Quincy, from an old print; Grant's Home, Galena; Lincoln's Tomb, Springfield; Lincoln's Home, Springfield; Buckingham Fountain, Chicago; Lincoln's First Illinois Home, Macon County; Water Tower, Chicago 1870; Marina City, Chicago; First Fort Dearborn, 1803 to 1812. All of this and the makers' marks are on the reverse. Plate measures 10 1/2" in diameter.
